Saturday 23 May from 10 pm
Large-scale projection on the Ideal Palace Free (subject to availability)
For the first time, The Ideal Palace of Postman Cheval is transformed into a vast living tableau as night falls.
For one exceptional evening, Ferdinand Cheval’s unique work comes to life through a monumental production combining imagery, music and light.
Guided by Lucien, a colleague and travelling companion of Facteur Cheval, the audience discovers the “true story” behind this extraordinary work. Blending poetic narration with living memory, his voice draws us into the world of Ferdinand Cheval, his dreams, his inspirations, and this human adventure that has become a legend.
The façade of the Palace then becomes the canvas for an immersive video-mapping display: animated sculptures, plays of light and dreamlike landscapes unfold across the stone, transforming the architecture into a shifting backdrop. Every detail is illuminated and reimagined to offer a unique sensory experience.
This magical production invites young and old alike on a journey through time, where heritage and modern technology come together to celebrate the imagination, boldness and poetry of a monument that is unique in the world.
Duration: approximately 10 minutes
